A blocky theme for Typo 2.6.0 - add your own pictures easily by replacing the images block1 .. block4 in the images folder. The transparency on the images is done in css, so it's applied automatically. There's an example photoshop document with slices defined and some other images in the folder at images/example block images. All the meta information for each post is grouped on the right in a block (author, categories, comments and trackbacks). The layout is liquid - the blog section expands with the browser window.
